Another illustration done for the boardgame 'Swords of the Seven' by ~kanachi.

"Katsuro was a celebrated warrior whom served as chief protector to a noble lord controlling lands far to the east. As time passed however, Katsuro became increasingly arrogant and extremely prideful. He was often known to seek out, or even instigate, trouble so he could prove his martial skill.

This pride would ultimately prove his undoing. For one day a mysterious warrior, known as The Nightingale, challenged Katsuro’s to a duel in a location far from his master’s side. During his absence Nightingale moved in, assassinating the entire household.

Katsuro meanwhile arrived at the site designated for his duel and found only a small origami nightingale waiting for him in a glass box. Realising the deception he raced back to his homeland only to find that he had been framed for his lord’s murder.

Katsuro now travels as a dishonoured Ronin, seeking to avenge his lord and employ his services were possible as a sword for hire!"
